While not agreeing that it will destroy ODF, I do agree that the approach to ODF needs to be proactive in order to remain competitive and, at the very least, try to lead the pack as far as document formats. From what I understand from the discussion, there is still room for innovation and LibreOffice is well positioned to offer some leadership in such proposals.
