I'll jump in and say that I am strongly opposed to making Google the
central place for Free Culture stuff. At the most, having some stuff in
Google to help promote and connect people to other places is ok. Google is
mixed free and non-free in their own systems, there are various issues, and
Google Hangout uses non-free software.

I know not everyone is completely dedicated to all these concerns, and I
myself am non-dogmatic and using some Google stuff myself.

However, we should use DuckDuckGo.com for searching instead and stick to
Free Software for use with Free Culture whenever possible. I don't know
about this "Wordpress is constantly hacked" concern, but it sounds to me
like just a cop-out. Going with Google like this is a
path-of-least-resistance choice.

I accept the need to be strategic. I am not convinced this is the best
strategy.

Cheers,
Aaron
