when I extract data from the node sometimes it is blank (more often than not its blank) even though the data is there in the node
back to the original question why is the actual data not extracted? not which is faster

Yeah, I meant the one you and I *think* is faster... because Sam wrote,
there's no difference. Maybe there's only a remarkable difference with
lots of elements on a page or maybe John has added some extra magic to
resolve div#music to #music... ?
