I was having the same problem with the hover function, and applied the patch as described. I am still getting the error in this situation:
Hover is applied to a table - works great. However, when in windows I activate another program (for instance my email or swap between tabs in firefox) and then return to firefox the page produces the error (without reloading or doing anything extra).
