Given that it would be Jack's call, I'd say no. Ext has a very Java-like OO design. It would be hard work to squeeze what he's doing into jQuery calling conventions.
That doesn't rule out Jack surprising us and doing all that work anyway. But, that's not where I'd put my money if I were a betting man. :) That also doesn't rule out a plugin-for-the-plugin that simply gives you a new interfafce on the calls.
