So the fix seems to be to tell Windows users to fix their start icon properties. Change the "start" path to
"C:\Program Files\R\R-3.5.0\bin\x64\Rgui.exe" (or to wherever they installed R). Then ALSo change the "Start in:" path to "C:\Users\Foo\Desktop" (obviously not using "Foo" but the users actual username).
