I need to know how FunkFeuer support node mobility in a WMN?
Actually, it uses proactive protocol. This tye of protocols cannot perform well in dynamic networks where mobile node move with high speed (e.g. 4mps) in the network, because it is necessary to update routing tables for many times. This imposes high network overhead on the network.
i don´t know how often olsr updates the routing information in our configuration, maybe Aaron can shed some light on this. I think the primary question here is on the physical layer, how you keep clients connected to the WiFi. I don´t suppose your clients are moving around one omnidirectional antenne and stay within its range ;-) So depending on your clients you might need an antenna every ~100 meters, which would mean a routing update every ~25secs, which is not that often... But why have routing clients in the first place? If you build such a network it is probably better to keep it switched and maybe have a meshed backbone. What´s your use case?

Best,
Gregor
