Really??? Did they get license from Oracle to do that??
Sounds really wierd to me...

Re: [discuss] importing an infotrend eon nas zpool
EON NAS run Solaris 11, not illumos. Version 29 is not supported by illumos.

Hi,
I got some disks from a dead Infotrend EON NAS PRO 500.
I thought I could read them by importing the pool to get back the data, using
any recent illumos, including our XStreamOS.
With my surprise I got this error:
state: UNAVAIL - newer ZFS version
status: the pool is formatted using an incompatible version
zdb reports version: 29, uname reports SunOS 5.11 version ift_147
Does it mean it's an Infotrend custom distro of illumos, with a customized zfs
pool??
The XStreamOS I used features an illumos kernel of September 2014.
Can't believe that Infotrend has a newer zfs version...
Any idea?
Gabriele.
