What are you running?  If the system is up (pingable) and just in a
tremendous amount of pain, it might be OS-4340:

A dump would help explore that hypothesis.  Failing that, you can boot kmdb
and explore the system at the time that it hangs (in particular, ::stacks
would be valuable).
