Hi,
I would like to know if GRUB1, that ships with illumos,
got bug with "Too much" Boot environments and inability to boot, fixed?
It seems to me it makes illumos distributions non-production ready.
"grub fails to boot when too many boot environments are present "
https://www.illumos.org/issues/5943
It has worarounds of cuttign menu.lst shorter, but it seems to me like
an important issue that can make illumos distros using GRUB
non-production ready.
Seems like GRUb needs fixing for this, before project for replacing GRUB
that is under way gets released, so we can say illumos is for production
and not duying on some undeterined update when menu.lst gets large.
Seems like it culd be needed to both have GRUB fixed to have larger
buffer and to change all tools that edit menu.lst to warn and stop
operation if menu.lst gets larger then value that disables booting.
