"iostat -E" tells me I have 6 SATA devices connected. 5 HD and a DVD.

"rmformat -l" and "cdrw -l" fail to find any CD/DVD devices.

"format -e" crashes when a new 3 TB Seagate drive is selected. I expected this
with S10_u8, but I also am encountering it with oi151_a8 booted into the
LiveDVD environment. Selecting the Hitachi 3 TB disk currently installed I can
verify the label on it.

I can trace back to what the /dev files are, but I can't access them with any
of the usual tools.

I did a devfsadm and find all the devices under /devices with links from /dev.
But I get "cannot open" messages.

Is there any reason not to do an "fmadm reset" on all the faulted devices?
