Which Illumos-based OS would be best for:
1. A medium sized file server; Like 50 TB or less.
2. A very large file server; up to 1000 TB or more.
3. A mail server serving iMap and all the others, and running postfix or
similar. No user login, but some user self-admin for vacations,
forwarding, password change. Miust run greylisting and antivirus. Must
be admin manageable by a group of half-wits under occasional guidance by
the resident genius.
4. A web site hosting server. a few hundred or so sites, space served by
something like spec'ed in 1. above.
5. GUI remote access virtual machines, like a hundred or so.
6. Notebook for desktop stuff. Spec the notebook, too, please! Good
enough to run several virtual machines with several different OSes.
Great graphics for modelling and desktop stuff.

I know the answer will depend on other things, so there may be several
answers dependent on other restrictions or desires.
For each case I am very interested in turnkey ready complete appliances
based on Illumos. Even if you are not sure they are actually the best.
Ready made has the sweet taste of being already set up.
