Hello,I tried the below suggestion of using BSD boot media and resync. Dropped
into a shell Using a FreeBSD 11 install DVD and tried the below commands after
installation of Dilos 2:# dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/ada1Let it ran for 1 minute
and hit Ctrl-C. Here ada1 is the disk which contained the dilos install.#
syncSync completed within 10 seconds. When I rebooted the entire disk ada1 was
wiped clean. Just to refresh, I get the below screen during first boot
from hard disk after install:https://pasteboard.co/HstyCuG.pngAlso in the
installed loader, beadm command is missing as shown in the below
screenshot:https://pasteboard.co/HstDr26.pngDoes anyone in the illumos
community have any idea on how to resolve these issues? Or does the FreeBSD
based new illumos bootloader work only on select hardware, perhaps before Intel
skylake ?ThanksKarthikFrom:

drop into a shell, issue; "dd if=/dev/zeroof=/dev/<your_hdd>"
and let it run for a minute or so before hitting"Ctrl+C". Once done,
issue "sync", let it run it's course, then issue areboot and boot
off your illumos distro. There's a high chance this willdo the trick for
you.~Mayuresh
