I use Balsamiq Mockups daily and it's proven to be an invaluable tool in our design process. We have daily design meetings and the speed with which I can create design concepts for review has impressed our PMs.
The creator of Balsamiq, Peldi (his nickname; his actual name escapes me at the moment), is very responsive to user requests and there's a growing community where users can submit custom controls for use by others.
