IxDA Dublin will host an evening of rapid-fire presentations on
Interaction Design on 3 November. To mark Irish Design Week 2009 (
http://www.designweek.ie/ ), the event will draw on the broad experience
of IxDA members to put together “an evening of big ideas and fast talk
on the stuff that makes stuff do stuff”. The DEFUSE: Design for Use
event will use the Ignite format (based on the Pecha Kucha) to cram as
much interaction design insight as possible into an entertaining and
engaging event. This format gives each presenter just 20 slides and 15
seconds on each slide (5 minutes per presenter). That means 13 or more
high-speed presentations can fit into the evening:
20 x slides | 15 x seconds | 13 x explosive talks = DEFUSE
