I wondered at that too. It *does* have a hook in the tail: you can attach
to a scheduled backup event a script or a package install, which could
probably be abused for a simplistic system management mechanism. But
there's not much in the way of control or reporting, unless you're using it
to kick off an agent run for a real CMS.
