Does anybody have rants/raves about a cross-platform patch/update
management tool? We're a fairly small company ( < 200 people ), but are
looking at deploying tools to actively manage patching on end-user
machines. Currently, most machines are Windows 7 but there are a
sprinkling of Ubuntu and some Macs as well.
I know that MSFT System Center works across all three platforms, but it
seems like a very large hammer for a small screw. It does lots of cool
things, but smells like overkill for us.
Any other suggestions? F/OSS is great, but commercial tools are OK too.
