We’re looking at them right now to replace our existing file server. It’s been delayed due to interop problems with Apple’s open directory (which we have now) and Samba4 (used by Free/TrueNAS). Nobody’s fault, really, but it’s slowing things down.
As for iX in general, we’ve been using them for years. We’re a small shop but we have 5 or 6 boxes running from them right now (2 firewalls, a ZFS backup server, syslog box, and something else…) We have had the same sales guy for 5+ years and he’s usually responsive to us. It’s nice to know that what we buy will work with linux/bsd, and happy to throw some money towards vendors who are supporting projects like FreeNAS.
