As far as I can tell, LISH is comprised of a custom, highly-restricted
shell along with GNU Screen. And yes, as others have already
mentioned, it works thanks to the Xen hypervisor they're using. I
suspect they are using Screen to connect either to a virtual serial
console for each Xen guest or perhaps the hypervisor gets access
directly to the guest's tty?
