I'm chiming in because I have info but I'm frankly speaking unofficially and somewhat out of turn. But there are reasons other board members may be indisposed to comment officially.
Kent, you aren't really missing significant details from the minutes although there is certainly context there. At this point, the board is still trying to figure out what a proposal would look like. We need to do some logistical stuff like cleaning up the membership database and develop some estimates on how to remain financially secure. To develop those estimates, we may well need to do some member polls/surveys. Anyway, it's pretty early in the process of considering this idea. There will indeed be opportunity for membership discussion and input beyond people having to scour the minutes for info! And frankly it's still possible the board will decide to not fully pursue it based on the analysis I was mentioning above. That having been said, there's no reason to withhold discussion or ideas at this point.
