Should probably tell people _before_ they see what looks like a phishing attempt coming from <[email protected]> and various other headers which show absolutely no relationship to previous mails from LOPSA, especially when there are things like malformed Message-ID headers so that the end result is ... bemusing to see from a professional society of sysadmins, many of whom run mail-systems. Should probably tell people before moving their details into a system with new terms and conditions. In particular: You shall indemnify and hold us and our licensors and suppliers, and our and their subsidiaries, affiliates, related entities, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, co-branders or other partners, employees, successors and assigns harmless from any liability, cost, expense, loss, claim or demand, including reasonable lawyers' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your use of the Site. Note: that's not arising out of abuse or mis-use, but out of any use. Given the problems with LOPSA's genesis and the legal problems which arose, I'd have hoped for more review of such matters. I've set a new password, but first sign-in prompts me to agree to those terms, which I absolutely will not do for a site where I've written content which might be controversial. I'd ask "how do I get my data out?" but since the main piece 404s on the public URL, it's probably gone. Will I be able to renew my membership without indemnifying a third party for any actions of a fourth party simply because I use the site? If not, then I guess I won't be renewing. I don't pay money to expose myself to _more_ bogus liability.
