I'm lead to believe that stratum 1 servers can use GPS or CDMA to
reference a true time source nowadays.

Are there any benefits or detractors to either?

I'm also curious if the collective has recommendations on specific
appliances or implementations for a stratum-1 time server. Our existing
solution uses a Symmetricom (now MicroSemi) device connected to a GPS
antenna.

>From a brief review, it seems most appliances now allegedly speak IPv6,
and we're also strongly inclined towards management via SSH (LDAP,
RADIUS, and/or TACACS+ authentication preferrred).

Any other thoughts appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
