Hi,
Just a warning - if you have Unitrends Virtual Backup (aka PHD Virtual),
it does not support VMware 6. In fact if you upgrade to VMware 6 you
will loose all your backups unless the Support folks go in and hack some
library links and they recommend against doing new backups. So I have
no backups until I get new backup software.
There was nothing from the company about this - no warnings, no notices,
nothing except that when I look at their site now the product does not
exist. The product guides in their support section say VMware 5.0 and
later are supported which is why I never checked if it would work or not.
Anyway, I figured I would warn folks so they are not in my situation of
started an unplanned new backup software project.
