So essentially we have agreed that ONAP/ccsdk should be taking ownership of the distribution ODL is providing.
Barring the daexim dependency, which is an ODL MSI project due to the committers to making it MRI, that will allow ONAP/ccsdk to pick up ODL artifacts no later than our Version Bump Checkpoint, which happens ~5months before the SimRel release date.
Aside from solving the release alignment issue, it will also allow ONAP to provide useful feedback while ODL is still building up its SimRel -- which is obviously beneficial to both projects.
A pointer I failed to provide in the meeting due to technical issues: https://github.com/opendaylight/integration-distribution/blob/master/onap-karaf/pom.xml is the XML that would have to be rehosted to ccsdk.
One notable outlier for Kohn is the use of Sulfur or Chlorine -- Chlorine would technically be better, as it would give ~12 months of supported ODL to ONAP and their downstreams, but Chlorine *will not* include the old RESTCONF interface, only RFC8040, as per https://lists.opendaylight.org/g/Discuss/message/8843
