This is actually a good question and maybe points towards a new way of leveraging our Charter Membership. I would think that it would be worthwhile to pass major changes in the way the organization operates by the Charter Members. They basically "own" the organization and (should) have vetted interests in how it takes shape. In the long run [1] I can see an electronic voting tool where every now and then something bubbles up the board deems relevant enough that all (a majority, quorum, etc.) of our Charter Members wrap their heads around. Have fun, Arnulf [1] The definition of "long" is directly proportional to the level of interest we can trigger in Charter Membership, so maybe indefinite. :-) - -- http://metaspatial.net -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.11 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://www.enigmail.net/ iEYEARECAAYFAlOg9loACgkQXmFKW+BJ1b1bEgCcCWQ3WgCab4pWk3e0BN/VLdnC EJkAnRzgtxS/skP92ZL+BzJqu3qIBppv =/U8Z -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss
