I monitor a whole lot less than you; namely nothing but this email

I received an email from Sarah on May 10th stating my VPS would be
going down on the 11th for a pre-move reboot then the 12th for the
move. It never went down for either, so I contacted support and Dan
gave me the "updated" move schedule (I'm on rutledge).

Things went down as anticipated and I received the two "move update"
emails from Luke; one about a delay due to security, the second as
machines were being powered back up. I never saw an "all clear", but
things are back up so I assume "all went well" based on that.

Short of it is though, if I didn't directly email support asking when
I was moving I wouldn't have known until it occurred (as happened to
you).

Yup. this is what I'd expect. (we're trying to figure out why the previous poster didn't get the emails right before it went down... that is unexpected and we suspect something is up with the username -> email script that doesn't do the right thing when the user has two emails. I think it only emails one.) I realized I didn't send an 'all clear' when I woke up a few hours ago.

Actually, huh, I thought I sent out a message the night before, or morning before or something, a 'we will be moving you in 24 hours' type deal. but who knows if I did or if I did not, and I would have used the same method to send as the two 'move update' emails, so if you got the 'move update' and not the 'going down in 24 hours' notice, it's likely I somehow didn't send the 'going down in 24 hours' notice.

speaking of, I forgot to send the 'going down in 24 hours' message to people I need to move tonight. Thing is? those racks are gone on Friday. Hm. delaying until tomorrow night is an option; My brother will is down here helping tonight, but there are only 7 servers left; I can handle 7 servers, and we can do all the prep work today.
