Got a response:

"Hi Benjamin,
Yes, you are correct that kit includes everything except a computerc style
power cord and filament. All of our kits (hardware/full) include a 24v
kapton bed heater.

We use 3mm filament as we find it doesn't tangle as easily. The supplied
jhead hotend can print any 3mm filament that operates at or below 240C.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Roy
Maker's Tool Works"

Since the bed heater is included, I removed it from my order. This has
brought the price down to $1490 shipped (plus duty and filament).

Shipping seems to be included in the kit price, so unless they can do
something special for us (there was no comment in their previous response)
I don't think there will be any bundled shipping deal.

Since it uses 3.0mm filament, I suggest that anything raised over the $1500
that isn't needed for duty costs go towards buying filament from Ward.
