I have just downloaded Slimserver 5.4, with a view to buying a Squeezebox in the future.
I can play mp3 files ok in my software mp3 player (jetAudio). However, I am unable to play wav or flac files. The 'PLAY' button at the top of the right hand pane in Slimserver is ineffective (it should turn orange when pressed). I have tried various wav files (all 14400, 16 bit) - they all fail. Can anyone please help? Why is Slimserver only able to play mp3? What am I doing wrong?
