Sorry bpa, I think I confused you. I meant Settings etc, not prefs: that's where I looked. No AAC Plus filenames there.
Here's the thing: I'm assuming that in order to play an AAC Plus stream, such as JazzFM's, through the 'Tune In URL' facility, I need a newer version of mplayer that will add the AAC Plus filenames to Settings. And I'm in turn confused by your mention of a plugin.
