I tag mine with "Singles" for the album. When I have more than 2 songs for an artist I move them into their own artist folder. When they are all by the same artist in a folder, Squeezecenter puts them under that artist as an album called Singles. For the folder that that has all my other singles mixed together, Squeezecenter seems to pick a random artist to display for these. It means I have around 50 albums titles "Singles when I browse my album list, which is kind of annoying but I rarely browse albums so I live with it. The compilation settings probably have something to do with this. I have it set not to group compilations and list albums by all artists for that album.
