You can create a menu with Custom Browse that only contains the artists which SqueezeCenter considers to be album artists. Just create a new menu in the Custom Browse settings page of the type "Artists" or "Filtered Artists" and make sure you have only checked "Album Artists" in the "Roles to include" parameter.
