Thanks for the reply, I have tried everything again double checking all the steps as suggested.
Everything does seem to be 'going through the motions' but no sound. I am still unable to adjust the volume slider in the player window and it defaults to the lowest setting (1 segment). Is there something i can do manually here to see if this is the issue? I have looked in the server log and there doesn't appear to be any messages. I have a gut feeling the issue is with media player streaming? Is there any test i can do at the command line or otherwise to check what it is being stream or not?
