Well I have had it hard wired for 2 evenings and it stayed connected all the time with no problems. I have upgraded the router's firmware to the latest one, but when running the SB on wifi it still constantly disconnects every few minutes. I just cannot figure out why this happens. My other internet radio which is set up with the same wifi settings vary rarely misses a beat. I have tried to reposition the SB which makes no difference. On the laptop which is in the same room, it shows that the signal is virtually 100% most of the time. Any ideas gratefully accepted please.
