Good for him that not only did he find something, he made a step up. I would venture to guess that he saw the writing on the wall and decided to move onto something a bit more secure. This time around the Slim Devices BU was apparently spared a RIF, but who's to say that will be the case the next time around. I saw it where I used to work - a point is reached where the cuts did into the bone because there is no more dead wood to get rid of.
