True enough - but by contrast, most of my music is not mixed. For me, that is the best part of SB - so long as my music tags are correct, I can tell SB to play me anything from the "Chillout" genre and it will play whatever I've tagged as "Chillout". I've 'found' loads of stuff that I never knew I had in this way :)
But it's tricky to integrate mix albums into the music library. I guess I could create a new genre tag for each album... Either that or I'd have to leave the genre tag blank - and I *hate* having incorrect or incomplete tags. Perhaps I should keep all my mix albums near the CD player, and play them via normal CD instead of SB. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of radish Sent: 01 September 2005 14:25 To: discuss@lists.slimdevices.com Subject: [slim] Re: Music file question - how do you manage mixed albums? Most of my music is mixed. They're all ripped as individual tracks, I just don't ever use "random" mode or whatever. I listen to albums from beginning to start. That's how mixes are meant to be heard, and it's the only way that sounds good. Who needs random playlists when a DJ has already put together a set for you? -- radish _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
