Okay, so I posted on another discussion group that my SC/SBRs had somehow pooped out. Everything worked perfectly for months and one day I could no longer find the SBRs in my SC. I didn't get anywhere with the suggestions I got and I'm assuming Logitech's support won't be helpful since I ditched the SBRC for an iPod Touch w/ iPeng long ago.
Anyway, I'm pretty un-versed in the language you guys are speaking, but I can follow simple instructions really well :) I was reading through the instructions in Strocky's post from 8/31 and got through the email with only a few hiccups. I first did a total uninstall of SC and hard reset of the SBR. It was blinking red slowly. Currently, I have a laptop running Vista with a hardwire connection to my NetGear router. I have disabled by wireless adapter for the time being, as was suggested earlier in this thread. Here is my current set up: UDAP [1] <squeezebox 16bd83>> list bridging: 0 hostname: (name listed under SC Information > Hostname) interface: 0 lan_gateway: 0.0.0.0 lan_ip_mode: 1 lan_network_address: 0.0.0.0 lan_subnet_mask: 255.255.255.0 primary_dns: 0.0.0.0 secondary_dns: 0.0.0.0 server_address: 0.0.0.0 squeezecenter_address: 192.168.1.3 (i got this from SC Information tab > Server IP address) squeezecenter_name: wireless_SSID: (network name) wireless_channel: 6 wireless_keylen: 0 wireless_mode: 0 wireless_region_id: 1 wireless_wep_key_0: (network password) wireless_wep_key_1: wireless_wep_key_2: wireless_wep_key_3: wireless_wep_on: 1 wireless_wpa_cipher: 3 wireless_wpa_mode: 1 wireless_wpa_on: 0 wireless_wpa_psk: I do have WEP 64 bit and verified that the password is correct. Now the light on the SBR is solid yellow. I understand this means that it's having a problem connecting to the network. I found post #77 in this thread that addresses the yellow light and says to try the wired connection and lists the commands to do that (interface=1 lanipmode=1, savedata) and I still have a yellow light. Any thoughts what on what to do next?
