thanks for the reply. I tether when wifi not available using a Cradlepoint router. If park wifi is offered your solution is worth a try. Also looking at a deliberant AP. Idea is trying to get auto switching to wifi when not tethering. Anyway, what a fun hobby this has become...many thanks...
