Thanks for the detailed response.   I think I'm getting the picture
into better focus now.  Since the Axiom Audiobyte system is made for
computers, the amplifier just has a single input jack, (analog as you
surmised) so I'm thinking that is a problem?   I'll try putting in a
picture of the back of the Audiobyte.  I'm doing a little test
listening right now with the Boom sitting next to me and going back and
forth between the two systems playing music encoded in .WMA (I think)
format--it's whatever Windows' "lossless" format is.  Audiobyte
certainly sounds better--not a LOT better though.  Also very
subjective.  If the Touch would work with this amp/speakers, it would
be great.
