In our kitchen, we use a Klipsch iGroove HG. It has an iPod dock on it, but it also has a line in. The sound is great - a little better than the Boom IMO. It's small and sharp looking. It isn't made any more, but I think you can find deals on refurbs or used.
The current version is called the iGroove SXT. It's a bit above your budget ($150).
