Is it maybe because the icons in iPeng are just bigger (and thus seem to be sharper) ?. As said: scaling happens on the server - I don't have no influence on it. If you used a program like 'SqueezePlay' or a Touch or a Radio icons would look the same. One idea: on the server one can influence the quality of images. There is an Option Settings->Advanced->Performance->Artwork Resampling.
