The problem was caused by Rhapsody changing the DNS address of their API server. There is some code to handle this case for older ip3k-based players, but it's not necessary for SP players. Unfortunately that code got ported from ip3k and was broken. So if by chance you were still on a server (SBS or MySB) that hadn't restarted since the DNS change, you would have still been able to connect to Rhapsody.
