I've been using 7.6 for day to day squeezeslave listening/testing since July and have never seen that problem.
Just tried playing David's Picks - Radio Paradise and it's streaming fine current running 7.6 r31504. No errors in the server log. A couple things. Squeezeslave is not supported on mysqueezebox.com so Logitech may have finally done something to blocked it in 7.6. Try using a MAC address you've never used before when starting SS via the -m option.
