Unlike many on these forums, my "hifi" , although reasonable, could
never be classed as high end, and I have in fact been saving for quite a
while now to upgrade it. Logitech's abandonment of the Squeezebox line
has concentrated my mind further on what road I wish to take.
I have decided to invest in a pair of Bowers & Wilkins speakers
- either the CM9's or PM1's, and yesterday put my name down for a pair
of Olive Ones. The combination of beautiful hardware, clean lines,
audiophile components, open source software, and finally the fact they
will do virtually all that I currently do with my Squeezeboxes has
convinced me. Add in the wife approval factor and the fact there is
still ( at present ) a healthy market for second hand Squeezeboxes, I
personally think it's a no brainer.
Roll on July
