I think there are two big questions:
1. Is people who love classical music willing to adapt to a standardized
way of handling classical music metadata or will it be too much work to
change their existing collection.
2. Are people who love classical music willing to submit and share their
metadata with other people who love classical music and is the other
people willing to use the shared metadata.
If the answer is "No" to both these questions, we can probably forget
about making something better than the current Custom Browse/Custom Scan
solution we have for Squeezebox. If the answer is "Yes" to both these
questions there is some potential to start doing something. It's
probably possible to make a configurable tool that can extract some of
the data from the tags in case you have used well structured custom tags
for the classical data.
