Yes it's true that the code for Net::UDAP is beta at best. That being said I had a problem once with one of my Duet receivers where using the controller I was unable to connect to the server regardless of what I tried. I then used Net::UDAP to configure my LMS server IP into the receiver and fixed the problem. I will always keep a copy and use it as a last resort. There is a Windows compiled version that doesn't require a separate Pearl install that is nice for those of us that have a Windows machine to use.
