No (unless you have, for example, some 'broken' wifi client which might
itself either prefer some particular channel, or which might refuse to
work on others.)

A 'well-behaved' wifi client should follow the SSID, and so ir should
adaptively switch channels when/if the transmitter changes it channels.
Are the Booms well-behaved? I don't know - I don't have one to play
with.
