Ivica kindly replied, he has moved away from the Thecus box, so is unable to support the packaging of new modules for the NAS box. I was grateful for his support whilst it was there :) I'll be on the current version for now then, so if that turns out to be the root cause then I'll have to accept temporary defeat.
