Hi, I am sure this has been discused to death...I have done a search, and have not found much in terms of fixes, final resolutions...are there any? Should i raise another bug or are there more than enough to cover this??
see email i sent tech support: Hi, I just got my SB3.Configuration: - SB3 - Slim server 6.21 - Wireless G, WEP encryption - WRT54GS AP - Win XP Pro, SP2, Zone Alarm installed Setup: - DSL Modem <--> AP <--> PC - all wired connections - AP <--> - wireless connection I installed slimserver and set up the SB3 pretty easily and am up and running. It connected to my network OK once i set up the WEP key etc. In my living room, using netstumbler on a laptop, or just viewing the strength in the system tray, i see that my wireless network is around the very good to excellent category of signal strength, speed showing around 24Mbps. However, quite often i notice the SB3 losing connection. I have not played it enough yet to see if this happens during music playback, however when it is just sitting there, it quite often pops up with a message saying it can't reach the slimserver, goes blank, tries to connect again and then gets connected and goes back to say the clock screensaver. I see similar discussions on the forums, ie : http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2330 If i sit in the same room, i can surf the net from a laptop with ease and apparantly no networks dropouts.
