The SB ecosystem is much more flexible now than it used to be - it plays to DLNA devices and more via plugins that are very reliable, so there's every chance that you can splurge money on a Naim streamer and it will work well with SB Server. It's way more reliable than it was when I had the Linn Akurate DS. Apart from that it's a suitable player like a Pi plugged into an async USB DAC. The DAC I would like to try would be the Okto DAC - Audio Science Review is a good source of testing (measuring) for DACs, and that one is as good as anything for a sensible price (about a grand). It also has a Pi built in for the streaming facility.
