The one reason that I have seen - I have deployed a few systems to non technical friends, and setup shortcuts on their PC/Mac, Pads, Phones for the pCP, LMS UI, LMS Settings, Material UI. Occasionally they will do something like unplug the router, or maybe a firmware update is pushed, then the router reassigns the IP, and none of their links work. I have yet to convert them over to static to prevent that. I know where to do it, but not really how (i.e. how to fill out all the fields). Maybe I'll wait until Peet gets it working :) Jim ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Redrum's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115873 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
